REVEREND CHIZEMDERE GOES TO COURT OVER DEFILING MINORS AND INFECTING THEM WITH HIV
The police have arrested one Reverend Ezuma Chizemdere who is said to be the founder of a church in Ejigbo area of Lagos State.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Bala Elkana, disclosed in a statement that the suspect was arrested over allegations of defiling minors and infecting them with HIV/AIDS.
According to him, a case of defilement of a minor by penetration was reported at Ejigbo Police Station on 22 January 2019.
Elkana said this led to the subsequent arrest of one Prince Chinecherem who had been charged to court.
He explained that further investigation revealed that Reverend Chizemdere was part of the syndicate defiling teenagers in the community.
“He has been at large for about three months,” the command’s spokesman said. “On March 21, 2019, at about 0100hour, police laid siege of the reverend’s residence based on the strength of information gathered that he often sneaks into the house through the back entrance.”
He added, “Haven discovered that police have cordoned his house, the reverend hid in the ceiling for two hours. He was, however, arrested.”
Chizemdere was alleged to have brought in about 15 boys into his apartment where he forcefully penetrated them all.
“Some members of the neighbourhood revealed that the reverend usually washes six bedsheets daily whenever he brings in little children, suspected to be his sex partners,” Elkana revealed, adding, “On further interrogation, the ‘reverend’ revealed that he is HIV positive and has been receiving treatment for over three years.”
The Police Public Relations Officer said a 16-year-old boy was infected by the suspect with HIV in October 2018, stressing that he knew he was HIV positive and was deliberately infecting innocent teenagers and adults.
Chizemdere was also said to have confessed that he paid the boys N2,000 each, anytime he had carnal knowledge of them.
Elkana said the police would charge the suspect to court.

Akintunde, 29, and a teacher at a government school in the area was said to have been engaging in the act for about two years.
